The short answer CountStand is QSR POS software for counter service: a combo sells as one line at its own price, add-ons price themselves, and every takeaway ticket carries the order number the kitchen calls. The kitchen board puts late tickets first, and the all-day view adds up what is still to cook, dish by dish. Voids and discounts need a manager’s PIN and a reason. What does a quick-service counter need from its POS?

The fewest taps between one customer and the next. A QSR menu is short and fixed, and most orders are a combo plus an add-on or a drink. The cashier who builds that in three taps and takes the money in two keeps the queue moving; the one who has to scroll, retype or work out change does not.

On CountStand combos are single lines at their own price, add-ons are modifiers that price themselves, and the search takes a quantity, so 3 fries and Enter is three fries. Cash shows Exact and the next round note, with the change to return worked out.

How does the kitchen keep up at lunch?

By seeing the queue the way the counter does. Every order lands on the kitchen board with a clock, late tickets first. The all-day view adds up what is still to cook across every open ticket, split into waiting and preparing, so the fryer knows it owes fourteen portions, not seven tickets of two.

Takeaway tickets show the order number large. When the board says ready, that is the number to call.

How does a QSR owner keep the till honest?

With a name on every action. Each person signs in with their own PIN, and a PIN two people share is refused. A cashier cannot void or discount without a manager’s PIN and a reason, both recorded against that manager. The day closes with a drawer count that says Matches, Short or Over, and the discounts and voids report shows who did what.
